Story

Sea Greene cottage is situated at Kaka Point, a small seaside settlement at the Northern gateway to the Catlins. This charming cottage has outstanding views of the Pacific Ocean from Port Molyneux Bay to the Clutha River mouth and beyond.

Only 5 minutes walk to the main Kaka Point beach and The Point Café Restaurant & Bar. A 15 minute drive will take you to the beautiful Nugget Point Lighthouse walkway, penguin and seal colonies. Explore the wild Catlins .....Cannibal Bay, Surat Bay, Jacks Bay Blowhole, Purakaunui Falls, Papatowai, Cathedral Caves, McLean Falls, Curio Bay. Check out the Owaka Museum for local information and history.

Sea Greene Cottage has been charmingly redecorated incorporating elements of cottage, vintage, and bach, capturing those memories of holidays past. Front french doors are a feature and open onto the deck letting in sea vistas on warm days. Original artworks mix with vintage/retro treasures throughout.

For the owners the cottage is a 'dream realised'. Come share our dream....relax and unwind, take in the sea air, the sound of birdsong and the rise and fall of the ocean. A log fire will keep you cosy during inclement weather and a selection of books, DVD's and games are available to pass the time. (There is a TV but will only play DVD's). Cooking up a storm? Some basic pantry items available for use.

There is a New World Foodcentre in Balclutha (20 minutes drive north from Kaka Point) and a well stocked Four Square Supermarket in Owaka (10 - 15 minutes drive south down Scenic Route) to purchase supplies.
