Story

We are a family owned independent retail store.

Scrapbook Central was opened in June of 2003. In the beginning the focus was to introduce people to Scrapbooking and support the local Scrapbooking community. At that time there were very few Scrapbooking stores in New Zealand.

Very quickly we branched into card-making classes and supplies as many of the techniques were transferable between the two craft areas. Now the term Paper Crafting is used to describe scrapbooking, card making and other paper related crafts like Home Decor, Off the Page, Canvas Art, Mini Albums, Invitational Stationary etc.

We have focused on carrying the widest selection of coloured cardstock and patterned papers in store (currently 1600 approx) and will be slowly moving all these to the online store.

We have run classes from the time we opened and continue to do so. In recent times we have started to make more classes available as kits with instructions for people to do at home. Most of the classes will be available as a Kit through the online store.

We are located in Historic Petone, Lower Hutt, New Zealand.
