One of Hamilton’s longest running cafes and it’s easy to see why. It’s exactly what you expect from a good cafe: consistently great coffee, tasty food, quick service and comfortable dining. This is a narrow cafe with some street seating, about 10 indoor tables and a large outdoor area at the back which feels like a secret oasis in the middle of the city. Service is speedy and friendly. Coffee’s come quickly. Food is tasty and they do waffles and fantastic pasta as well as the usual café breakfast/lunch bits. Expect to pay about $18-25 for a meal for one excluding drinks.
Very good iced coffee. Husband approved! Perhaps the only cafe I've encountered so far, using metal straws. Ordered their waffles and Aglio Olio with prawns. Waffles was good. The lemon curd are used sparingly and nicely spread out so it's not over powering. The pasta was flavourful.
A must visit for Hamilton. Cosy little cafe with sensational food. Love seeing the regulars catching up on the weekends here. Good coffee. That addictive aglio olio is out of this world! Had mine with bacon. They publish their recipe online, I have since made it but using less pasta as I love making it extra garlicky. The waffle was also very good with the zingy lemon curd.
Found this place on Google. Cabinet food doesn't show the price at all. Ordered coffee, Roasted vege tart and coffee and nuts slice. Vege tart was ok. Slice was too sweet for me. I didn't like their coffee. It was bitter. $28 all together. There were some seats available outside but tables were not clean enough. Overall, it was ok. I would not come back again. Parking: There are 2h free parking on weekdays. Weekends are free. Little hard to find a spot.
Always love dining at Scotts. Fresh food and always so tasty. Had the Rarakor with Salmon Gravlax with scrambled eggs rather than the menu poached eggs which they were more than happy to accommodate
Me And my partner have recently moved to the Hamilton region after long stints living overseas in various countries and we dine out regularly, since moving to Hamilton we have tried in excess of twenty different eating establishments and find the only one we have kept as a regular is Scott’s, the reason being is the atmosphere when you walk in is warm, we are always greeted by genuine friendly smiles and good communication from staff, our orders are taken promptly and the food and coffee is delivered promptly The food that I have there is amazing and so is the coffee every single time For me this place ticks all the boxes for me which is atmosphere, coffee, food, service and pricing. Thanks a lot to all the staff at Scott’s for making our dining experience with you amazing every time. Dietary restrictions: We are both Keto and they customise our orders to suit with out any problems.
beautiful cafe, great customer service and the food was sooo delicious. i recommend the savory waffles. definitely must try!Food: 5/5
Took grandchildren out for breakfast...Best brekkie ever. Food great! Staff super friendly! Thank you!
Overhyped. The porridge looked pretty but was soupy, far too hot, and lacked any flavour to speak of. They were not generous with toppings instead choosing to overfill the bowl with the bland, soupy oats that cost them nothing to make. Disappointing.Food: 2/5
food taste & presentation is always consistent. one of our fav go-to brunch spot with impeccable service. if you’ve not tried it, you’re obviously missing out.
