Story

Scots College is an independent (private) Presbyterian boys' Years 1 to 13 school located in the suburb of Strathmore Wellington, New Zealand. Under the leadership of an Executive Headmaster, the College comprises three schools, the Preparatory School for Years 1 to 6, the Middle School for Years 7 to 10 and the Senior School for Years 11 to 13. Each school has its own Principal and Staff. Scots College is an IB World College.HistoryIt was founded as a Presbyterian boys' college in 1916 by Rev Dr James Gibb and the Hon John Aitken on the current campus of Queen Margaret College in Thorndon, and moved to the present site in Strathmore in 1919. Dr Gibb's vision was the creation of a Christian college that would be independent of the secular state system. It is the 'brother' school of The Scots College in Sydney, Australia and of Queen Margaret College in Thorndon, Wellington. The college's Scots heritage is reflected in its ceremonies (often involving a piper leading a procession into its hall) and school song. College prefects wear kilts on official occasions and every Friday for chapel. The school tartan is that of the Clan Fergusson. Permission to wear the tartan was granted by the late Governor General Sir Charles Fergusson.

The teachers bully you more than the students ever could. But seriously, send your kid to a public school. This school is a farce.
Too many assessments at once, teachers prioritise more academically 'excelling' students over the mass of 'average' or 'poor' students. Good extracurricular activities and opportunities available. School life is quite a hustle to achieve exemplary results and the high workload doesn't help.
Mr Johnston carries the school on his back
I spent 5 years at this school before leaving to Wellington high in year 11. The teaching was better at Wellington high to say the least. Unless you play 1st 15 Rugby dont bother trying to stand out. I need to figure out how to re pay my parents 50,000 for the time spent at this horrible school. Do not recommend, absolute waste of money
They seem to only care about their bottom line. Not the safety and wellbeing of the children they educate. Head of boarding was informed that my child needed a homestay for approximately 36hrs before school starts/boarding department opens - he is a boarding student with no family in NZ... and his plane gets in at 12:15am at night...was told they wouldn't do it. No explanation as to why not. Just a flat out NO. No follow up to see if he'll be safe or have a roof over his head for the night...why do they even have a "Head of Boarding", if he isn't concerned about the students that pay good money to attend this institution.
A school producing horrible young humans who don't seem to care about anything or anyone apart from their own selfish selves.
This is literally the most cooked place on planet earth, don't spend your money here, honestly a h3r0in addiction would be cheaper and more enjoyable
The Mongolian Army surrounded the school and took it over. 2/10 wouldn’t go again unfortunately.
I was bullied and harassed but teachers and students DO NOT GO!!!
