A beautiful community garden area situated in Stoneham Park. The park itself is absolutely gorgeous with a lovely stream/river running through it. The herb garden doesn't look like it's been maintained for a while & could do with a spruce up, but the concept is great. A great park to go to with the family & walk a dog or 2. Lots of shaded areas & paths are well kept.
Kids had a swim in the river along with the dog. We took a bit of catnip home for the cat out of the herb garden and enjoyed the flowers. The scent of Jasmine is thick at this time of the year.
We had a walk along Stoneham Walk and the 2 Mokos enjoyed a quick dip in the creek to cool off. We walked passed the scented garden and noted the different plants available to the public.
Such a beautiful place , peaceful with winding path under the many trees along the crystal clear clean creek where sometimes you might spot a trout or two, a special place to take your dogs and yourself for a walk .Top marks Kawerau.
Beautiful place.lovely smell of the scented garden, a place to go and relax enjoy the trees feel the breeze hear the birds dip in the creek absolutely a wonderful place to taken time out and relax
