Discover Saya Suka at Mount Maunganui; a family-run boutique store where you'll find unique homeware pieces, special gifts, beautiful jewellery and one of a kind curiosities.
Emma, a native Kiwi, has lived the last 15 years in England with her German husband Mike. When their son Max was born in 2014, they decided it was time to head home so that Max could experience the magic of growing up in New Zealand with the sand between his toes!
Saya Suka is the New Zealand extension of our small chain of lifestyle boutiques in England. We have spent the last decade criss crossing the globe in search of interesting ideas, objects d'art and other 'things' that feed our curiosity.
We have been working with artisans from Bali for the last 10 years. We borrow their ideas and they develop our ideas - a truly creative environment. Bali is cited as the new entrepreneurial hub of the world and designers from all corners of the globe are literally setting up shop (and home) on the 'island of the gods'. These creative influences, and the incredible level of skill of the Balinese, have seen the range of products from Bali explode.
We are also lucky enough to work with an independent Art House in Germany where we source our range of fantastic prints from, along with independent print makers in England.
Our extensive jewellery range is also complemented by jewellery designer May Grace based in Hong Kong.
