Simply translated, satmya means adaptability or adaptation and originally comes from the ancient Sanskrit language.
At Satmya Yoga, our goal is to create a welcoming, friendly, safe environment for our students to explore their yoga practice. We aim to make every class accessible to women and men of all ages and levels.
Classes are based on Traditional Yoga (also known as Hatha Yoga) and integrate the practices of physical postures (asana), breathing techniques (pranayama), relaxation (yoga nidra) and meditation. These practices help expand your awareness of the deeper levels of our being and can improve health, happiness and wellbeing.
Classes are suitable for beginners and those with yoga experience.
Felicity is a registered RYT500 yoga teacher, completing her one year teacher training Diploma in Yoga, followed by the one year Diploma in Yoga Therapy through Wellpark College of Natural Therapies, studying with the incredible Dr Sridhar Maddela and Dr Pooja Maddela.
Satmya Yoga was started by Felicity and her husband Michael who is also a qualified yoga teacher, completing his teacher training with Ashram Yoga in 2008.
