Good place to have breakfast when you’re in Te Anau. Especially recommend those heading towards Milford Sound and stopping by here for a break. Staff here were really polite and welcoming, greeting a warm good morning the moment we entered the cafe. We ordered Big Breakfast and Pancakes. Hot Latte on the side. Really good quality breakfast and be sure to consider the many choices of food found near the counter, ranging from desserts to sandwiches. A really nice place to stop by for breakfast in Te Anau.
Brilliant place - of course, it's very popular so expect to take away unless you are really on it. The food and atmosphere are great - even really early in the morning when you're firing up for your drive to Milford Sound!
Dined in on a weekday at noon. We ordered the toasted bagel and the pasta of the day, and both tasted delicious! The waiter provided good service, although the cashier who took our order was not very friendly. Overall, the food was great.nnOutdoor and indoor sitting available.

Whether it’s breakfast or lunch, this place gets everything right—consistently and without fuss.nnThe menu is exactly what you want before or after a day outdoors: pancakes, bacon and eggs, strong coffee, and excellent hot chocolate, all done to a high standard. The atmosphere is part of the appeal too—buzzing with hikers and travellers gearing up for the day’s adventure.
Absolutely hit the spot. Best steak sandwich we have had in NZ and the pasta of the day was perfectly cooked. They had run out of pancakes as I assume it is super popular so we got waffles instead which were yummy. Flat white was great. The staff were lovely too. We would definitely recommend a visit!
