Story

Hi, I’m Lizzy and I’m here to help you become a self-loving Yoga ninja on your mat! I love what Yoga does for me ever since I discovered its magic 17 years ago.

Looking back on my early twenties I was definitely going through some mild depression, tussling with the stresses of single parenting, holding down a job and trying to find my place in the world. I stumbled on a local Iyengar Yoga studio in Wellington and got hooked. Within a few months my regular practice was taking effect and I felt the depressing fog lift. I began feeling genuinely happy and excited about life again! It was awesome.

Since then Yoga has always stayed with me as I continue to grow, explore and evolve. My family has expanded by two more kids and a husband, and, as life would have it, I have plenty of material to work with when I roll up my mat and go out into the day.

I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing many styles of Yoga under the guidance of numerous teachers throughout Australasia, including Iyengar, Ashtanga, Hatha, Bikram, Jivamukti and Yin but its Vinyasa Yoga that I am particularly drawn to.

The Sacred Stretch Vinyasa classes combine strength, athleticism and flexibility with breath being the centre focus. Whether you are a beginner or seasoned Yogi, these classes will provide you the space to build on your practice, get strong and supple, and go inward to develop more self-awareness and hopefully some self love.
