Story

RYLAND ESTATE ORCHARD

Ryland Estate is a cherry and stonefruit orchard in the heart of Marlborough, New Zealand’s largest winemaking region. It is situated on prime orchard and vineyard land close to the Wairau River.

The 15 acre Ryland Estate comprises of an 8 acre Cherry orchard and 4 acre stonefruit (Peach, Plum and Nectarine) orchard and 3 acre home/garden block.

The orchard is semi-organic and is kept as natural as possible.

Marlborough is noted for it's sunshine hours with hot summers, burnished autumns, cool winters and crisp springs, which provide conditions ideal for the growing of grapes.

World renowned premium quality wines are produced from the region, notably award-winning Sauvignon Blancs, Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris Wines.

The fruit is available for sale on their website and makes wonderful Christmas presents.


RYLAND ESTATE ACCOMMODATION

Set on a working orchard amongst some of Marlboroughs finest vineyards. Ryland Estate provides 2 accommodation choices. A semi-detached, private, studio apartment suitable for a couple. And a 3 room apartment ideal for 2 couples and possibly 2 children.

TARIFF: The Ryland Cottage rate is NZ$280 per day and the Barn Apartment NZD$600. A surcharge of $25 per child for up to 2 children applies. All rates include Taxes.

ON SITE DINING

Trish, who loves cuisine, and is trained in "Scottish Country House" cooking, would be delighted to prepare a traditional New Zealand meal.

A typical menu would include: Starter/main/cheeseboard/sweet, with local wines to match. Just ask!
