Fantastic, gorgeous pub. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms have been restored faithfully and are very comfortable. We had an amazing dinner last night. I can highly recommend the lamb and the sticky date pudding. Our waitress, Jenn was fun and most accommodating. They also serve a continental breakfast which was more than enough and the tea is in a pot - so good.

We stayed one night, so can't talk much about location, other than it is in the old downtown shopping district. Only 8 rooms, no elevator; the desk clerk is also the bartender. Dinner and breakfast in the cozy bar on the ground level were both great. Nice spacious high-ceilinged room. Only negative items were a lack of USB ports, and a very tight and well hidden parking area.

Excellent friendly service. They have about 19 beers on tap including many local craft beers and a wide selection of spirits. The pasta was superb with the most flavourful sauce. Our friends had the nachos and they came with a lot of mince. The pub was nice and warm on a rainy day. Fast wi-fi. Definitely worth a stop if you're hungry and thirsty.

Wonderful old hotel. Central location, perfect for a walk around the town and by the river. Free on site parking. Lovely bar, meals area with great food and excellent service. Substantial continental breakfast. Good sized room, well equipped. About the best country pubs we've ever stayed in. Faultless. Highly recommended.

Everytime I've been to meet friends for coffee or lunch or dinner, in the last few months here, I've been impressed with the delicious food, value & portion size, friendly staff.. it's been brilliant!nWent last Sunday and it was very busy. The lady behind the bar & doing the cafe part, was just awesome! Mental busy but doing it all with a smile and sense of humor.. She deserves a pay rise!
