Myself and 3 friends decided we’d have a fun Mother’s Day and booked a double session at Rui Ceramics, which consisted of both hand building and the wheel, and delicious coffee served in beautiful mugs! Emma was very helpful with both pottery methods, and we came away with some cute pieces. It was so much fun that I booked another wheel session in with one of my friends and we both improved so much with Emma’s guidance. I will definitely be back for more! Thanks Emma!
Emma is such a talented potter. The passion for what she does is infectious. I have to say I am a tad addicted to buying Emma's pieces! Friends and I also had the pleasure of trying our hands at hand building and throwing which was so much fun! Such a great way to team build or enjoy a few hours with friends. Rui Ceramics hosted us for a hens party and it was so much fun! Emma created a really relaxed environment for us, we were able to BYO snacks and beverages which made the activity really fun and affordable to centre our day around. It was by far a group favourite and as a bonus we made some pieces we get to keep! I highly recommend Rui Ceramics if you're looking for a fun and creative activity to do as a group.
We had a private lesson for two with Emma. The studio is warm and welcoming and a really lovely place to spend time. Emma herself is very friendly and kind and really patient, with a lovely sense of humour. We could have watched her at the wheel all day, but had even more fun when we tried ourselves. It is really addictive and the time absolutely flew. Emma's teaching is super-encouraging and very clear. We are officially hooked and can't wait to go back.
Emma is an amazing potter and a great teacher. I have done a hand building workshop as well as a 4 week throwing workshop with her and both were great. She’s very encouraging and knowledgeable. Her own pottery pieces are also beautiful and I own more than a few!
My wife and I were given a birthday gift of a two hour class on the wheel with Emma. It was so good we booked to go again a week later!! Emma is a great teacher and the process of learning to use the wheel is fun and very satisfying…. We have some cool, usable pottery articles to show for it. Thanks Emma we will be back.
Emma is such a talented artist and an even more amazing teacher. I love booking in for one on one classes and look forward to every time I go to her beautiful studio. A great thing to do for a personal creative outlet or fun to book with friends. I’m so grateful to Emma for sharing her incredible skills
I recently enjoyed a two-hour, Have A Go class with Emma and would highly recommend it. I have done general beginners ceramics programmes in the past, forgetting most of it. This solo session with Emma renewed my enthusiasm and taught me so much more than what I managed to learn in multiple classes before. I am interested in wheel throwing and Emma was patient and clear. I see another session with her in my future!
Had a great lesson with Emma, who was very patient with me and I ended up producing a couple of mugs first go which exceeded expectations. Also tried both electric and foot wheels and different clay. Emma is also very honest and open in sharing her knowledge and experience. Highly recommended!
