Hadn't eaten at Ruby's for a while since Covid and their change of ownership/management. I had brunch there with a big group and I was very impressed with the service. The waitress managed to get all of our orders right and remembered what we all ate when we went to pay. I had a mix of the veggie and big breakfast and it was a very generous portion size and very yummy. Coffee was good too
We came here from Lower Hutt based on past reviews and photos. When we arrived at 10am the place looked messy and there were numerous tables not cleared and used paper napkins on the floor. We didn't use the tomato sauce because as can be seen in the photos, the top was filthy and covered in crud. One could only guess what's fallen in the hole. Despite this, have given 2 stars because the waitress looking after us was wonderful and my meal was okay.
Wow! So much food, and so delicious! We stopped by in Level 2, so had the usual Covid restrictions, but the staff were great, friendly, and efficient. I was unsure between the "Fry Up"and 'the big breakfast"; I went for the Fry Up and was not disappointed! It came out really quickly, it looked good, and tasted great. I also went for an iced chocolate which I didn't realise would be the size of a miniature Empire State building! Needless to say it to was amazing with loads of ice cream, cream, and chocolate! I can recommend both of these. We'll be back again.
Had scambled eggs on toast, can't complain. Probably not the best thing to review Coffee on point. Cafe had a great atmosphere, staff we polite, service in point. Definitely worth a try
We had lunch here with three kids. I had asked earlier about gluten free options for our celiac kid and we were confident. When the food arrived, the waitress checked again and realised that the toast was not the GF bread. She apologised, took it back in and came back with a complete new meal. Contamination is taken seriously and we were happy! Thank you for catering for celiac and being so attentive! The food was AWESOME! Service was ok food bland Wouldn't recommend cabinet food looked dirty whole place could do with a clean. but staff sitting on counter on phone not a good look no atmosphere almost to the point of no passion to be there.Food: 3/5
Really good coffee, very good portion for $5.00 coffee locally The cabinet food was pretty interesting as well with lots of keto slices. This is a sausage roll and a quiche
I love love love Rubys Cafe, cant get here often enough. All their food is amazing especially the cauliflower salad, and the keto treats are to die for, I always buy extra to take home and freezeFood: 5/5
Good kiwi breakfast Coffee was awesome as well. Request to chef to make some improvement in their sourdough bread.
