Louisa Muir is an experienced Equine dentist of 14yrs. Covers large area based in King Country. Good with all types of horses seldom requiring sedation.
Studied with the American School of Equine Dentistry in 2003 when a course was bought out to New Zealand and run based out of The Bay of Plenty.
I have been working as an Equine Dentist since my training and am based in Raurimu, Central North Island.
I cover many areas throughout the central north island and some further out. These include Ohakune, Waiouru, Taihape, Fielding, Palmerston North, Wanganui, Raetihi, Taumarunui, Pio Pio, Te Kuiti, Otorohanga, Kawhia, Te Awamutu, Ohaupo, Pirongia, Morrinsville, Tahuna, Tauranga, Taupo and Turangi.
I compete in the sport of Endurance as Arabs are my choice of breed to ride. I like their energy, stamina and intelligence.
I have competed up to 160km but tend to spend most of my time competing around the 80-120km distances.
I like to break in my own horses and enjoy spending time with the young ones.
I have bred 5 foals from my now retired purebred Arab Stallion Hillview Equalizer which includes a colt which will hopefully take his place.
I really enjoy my job as an Equine Dentist (as strange as that may sound!) you meet great people, handle a lot of horses and continually further your knowledge in the equine industry.
