Story

Our camp is on 13ha of peninsula at Ruakaka. Waterfront sites with beach views. Tennis court, kitchens, playground, laundries, toilets, showers. We are a very clean, friendly and family orientated campground in park-like grounds with 240 powered sites, 94 tent sites and 9 backpacker-style cabins. We are halfway between Auckland and the Bay of Islands. Safe swimming at a patrolled beach & safe estuary.

We love this park. Mind blowing views of the estuary and beach and clean and well maintained old school type amenities. Living the retro dream with a super modern booking system. Very impressed.

Absolutely lovely holiday. The views on our beach site were beautiful. All facilities were very clean and lots available to use. Would highly recommend.

We had a great time camping here. Clean facilities. Great proximity to neighbouring beaches. However, staying here you CONSTANTLY feel like you're going to be told off. This park is very strict. Camp staff literally patrol the place looking for insignificant issues.
Bit disappointed that we all took our bikes up and then found out that no bikes are allowed, I feel like this is something that needs to be really highlighted on their website. Great facilities but wouldn't go back with our younger kids as the walk to the actual beach was really long.

Visited a friend who has been camping here. The most beautiful views of the ocean and mountains. Bird life was amazing to see as well as the incoming tide. Ablution facilities really clean too.
