NZ’s last Victorian Theatre.This 118 year old, 830 seat, theatre is the venue for local, national and international events requiring a stage & auditorium.
Events held include Grand Opera, Operetta, Tribute concerts, Piano recitals, Orchestral Concerts, School Events, Lectures, Graduations, Fashion Shows, Dance of all forms, Floral Theatre to name a few. Any function requiring a stage and auditorium style seating can be accommodated. Wedding ceremonies have been performed and the stage or social reception of up to 60 can be accommodated. The Opera House has its own ticketing System which is provided by Seat Advisor but also maintains a link to TicketDirect. This allows local sales between Wanganui and the Manawatu Venues.
