The food was nice but cleaning away the dirty dishes from tables was poor, with staff coming out to gather utensils/dishes, for other patrons but leaving the rest of the dirty dishes on the table.nPeople being turned away or people leaving as they had already waited ages for their meal.nThe bathrooms need a good make over.nIt was disappointing to see a person going to tables picking up left over food from tables all night and staff watching. This could have been dealt with a bit more discreetly.
Just had some of the best curry dishes I've had in a while.nSamosas are yummy especially with the sweet chutney sauce you get with it nService was a 10. They bring hot plates for your appetizers and Mains.nGot a Chicken Curry and Beef Curry for mains. Meats were tender, moist and flavorful. And the Naan was light and crispy. Love them more than the usually fluffy Naan. They don't fill you up before you even get to eat your main nWill definitely be back again.nNgā mihi
Lovely Indian restaurant located in Thames. Very friendly staff and delicious food. we were really hoping to find some place for dinner at 9.30 pm while coming back from Coromandel hot water beach and took a detour of few kilometres to make stop at this place and it was worth it.
Whenever Im in Thames and feel like curry this is my go-to, good food, very reasonably priced and tastes great. I got a butter chicken of course along with a butter naan and 2 roti. The portions were well sized and the service was both friendly and professional. Decor is a little lacking inside but for Thames its pretty decent. The butter chicken was the perfect combo of rich tomato with a hint of creaminess, it wasn’t overloaded with cream and had the right level of spice. I will be coming back again.
Friendly service but food was ok. Maybe not bad for a small town but definitely not the best curry. The vegetable korma was literally vegetable tempura. The best dish was actually the butter naan, very soft layers with a good chew.
