Alexie was wonderful in helping my partner and I plan our 2 days in Rotorua. She went out of her way with her advice. As a result we were able to make the most of the weather - river rafting on the wetter day and hiking on the less wet but overcast day. She was engaging, funny and very helpful. Suman was also particularly helpful in organising our trip, the logistics and making the process smoother. I don’t often book things through information centres but I was glad for the help of Suman and Alexie.
A fabulous old building currently being renovated and earthquake strengthened
Can't say enough good things about these wonderful guys. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable about local area. They really helped us figure things out.nPeople like the Workers there is what makes NZ special and fabulous.nAm very happy they were working on Sunday when most places are closed.
Staff we not very knowledgeable when asking questions on 2 of the attraction we were inquiring about.nWe booked the hungi and hucka with them, the staff member advised us of pick-up time from our accommodation at 3.30pm for 4pm start time. At 4pm our bus hadn't arrived to pick us up, on calling directly to event they advised up information centre hadn't booked our pick-up. We then had to navigate our own way arriving late. Very disappointing!! When paying $250 each $500 for both of us we were not happy.nStaff need to be trained correctly and do their job with diligence. Also need to have a better understanding of the products they offer.nWould not recommend visiting this centre.
No problems in booking & arrivals of buses. Friendly helpful staff.nArrived too early with children. Occupy yourself with library nxt door & mini playground area.nCan even have a nap. Great if it's sunny. Raining not good. Plenty chairs outside but none inside. Coffee. Need to venture to other cafes surrounding building. Wheelchairs fantastic. Toilets clean. Building alone is a beautiful sight.
