The children's menu is a meagre portion. Definitely not for 8-12 yo. The spaghetti is just per description, noodles, sauce and cheese only, no protein. The size of the fish and chips from the kids menu was barely 10cm. Wine selection is great!Food: 2/5
Restaurant was very busy and waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed. Didnt really know the menu. Bread,Risotto and Oysters very nice. Not quite up to the standard I was expecting. I found the menu very difficult as choices seemed limited to me although quite a few items. Maybe because they had run out of Sirloin has colored my perception. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.if up that way i would definitely recommend stopping for a meal. Nice wine!!
Waited 2 hours for lunch to arrive during a long weekend. Was rather merry at that point due to their Camille Rose that we kept ordering to fill the time. Food was great when it arrived and we would go back. I suspect they were pretty short staffed. Lovely spot, staff were nice but the wait was rather too long to be reasonable.
The food was good, they could have had a better drinks menu, I would suggest booking if you go there as the place was packed.Food: 4/5
Ordered fish and chips and salad with chicken. Both dishes were generous and very well prepared. The fish was thick and juicy with very light crisp batter sort of barely there. Half a dozen large thick chips accompanied it, hot and crispy. Lovely dressing. My partner enjoyed a substantial well cooked piece of chicken with his salad. The walnut bread was delicious. From our experience we would recommend a lunch at Rothko. Parking: Visited mid week parking was easy
Beautiful, relaxing atmosphere. Great service, staff and platters. Engaging staff and professional interactionFood: 4/5
These galleries and gardens are world class. Sculptureum is sculpture gardens, art galleries, restaurants, and a vineyard all in one. The 3 sculpture filled gardens and the six indoor galleries are amazing.
My son took us to Rothko for a fathers brunch. We have been here before with a mixed degree of sucess and enjoyment. Today's experience was certainly better than our last visit. The menu was limited to three choices, each of which looked fine, I chose the beef schnitzel with poached egg and shoe-string chips. The schnitzel was over cooked for my liking, because the bread crust was very close to being between well done or on the burnt side. The meat itself was okay. The chips and egg were great, one good aspect was they did not over salt the chips. Kid-friendliness: They had a menu offering for the children Parking: Plenty of car parking, including disabled car parks, which was placed so that you accessed the restaurant ia the wine cellar. This was setup pretty obviously so that they could do a bit of a sell job for wine, you as you departed the restaraunt. Dietary restrictions: They had gluten free options for bread, which was a welcome alternative. However they could not provide oat milk for coffees.
Amazing food! The fired chicken was crisp outside and meltingly soft inside. The sirloin and broccoli were cooked to perfection, and the salmon was very fresh. I would love to give 5 stars for the food and wine, but the service only worth 3 stars. So I am giving 4 stars.
Sadly giving a 1 x star; staff were great, atmosphere amazing! However I think they were running out of food by the time we got served as myself and my daughter ordered fish & chips and got a portion of chips that could literally be counted on your hands! Overheard the people on the table next to us making the same complaint... Reading the other reviews I don't think this is normal! However, I read a review below where someone complained about the kids portion with a picture, and my daughter got less than half of what was pictured there! OMG! But a bit cheeky to charge $30 for such a measly amount of food...not a great look; and sad to say 'never again!'
