Initially we really liked the cottage as a nice place to spend the night. Homely comfortable. But there were several things that for the price should of been better. People service lovely. Heat pump sent vibrations through the floor. Spend an hour trying to get the tv to go and once we got a picture could not get any sound instructions would be useful. The curtains are broken and hanging down off their hooks. All a bit disappointing as it wasn’t a cheap option. Easily fixed though.
As a contractor working in the region for two weeks staying at the Rotherham hotel it was an absolute great experience, Keith and Moira were welcoming and super friendly, the meals are amazing and the packed lunches had a great variety and very delicious. I can't say enough about the Rotherham! Awesome experience thank you Keith and Moira hope to see you again soon
As a mobile away working maintenance crew myself and my guys spent a number of months accommodated at the rotherham hotel a true icon in the amuri area. Moira and Keith owners along with hannah cath & the kitchen staff could not have been more accommodating you truly couldnt find more genuine beautiful people Keith is always keen for a yarn, Moira really welcomed us with open arms & made us feel like we were home, Hannah does a great job checking in on everyone also an impressive belly dancing routine just kidding, the meals are good old fashioned pub meals bring your appetite as they're huge!!! The rooms while older & basic were perfect for us to rest & recover from tea in, lunches were always varied & filling, we will be staying again if the opportunity arises.nBrown foreman corde & his motley crew
Service and food upon expectation. We booked the cottage. Unfortunately the water pump backed onto our bedroom and was stop/go all night. Thought the actual cottage a little expensive for what it was
Had a evening meal with a friend on my way back to Christchurch. I had the HUGE Rotherham Hotel special main. It was top quality steak, fish, chicken, chips done in oil and salad. My mate's pasta needed heating up as in cold plate. We both really enjoyed the food. Chap behind the bar was non communicative but gave prompt service.
