I stepped out of the Cheese & Cheers thinking that I had not done enough liver damage yet and on the way to the car, spotted the signs pointing the way to the Gin Shack. And so here I am, ordering a gin and tonic.nnSitting outside in their garden, on a couch in the shade, sipping on what was an absolutely perfect drink, I was definitely in my happy place. I'm halfway through my New Zealand adventure, with Christchurch/Blenheim behind and Wellington/Auckland ahead. It absolutely does not get any better than this.nnGet a G&T. It's a magical drink. They distill the gin right here on site. You can see the distillery from the garden.
We stumbled upon the gin shack and had a great time! We did the gin flight which came with three gins award winning London dry gin, navy strength and Bella that was cut with Marlborough wine instead of water. All three were delicious! We would highly recommend stopping by. The staff were very friendly and even let us try the bitters for free. We would highly recommend stopping by.
We had such a great experience!!! beautiful tasting room, delicious food and fantastic gin! We were even lucky enough to get a private tour of the distillery. Super interesting and amazing to see what three hard working kiwis can do! Definitely a must stop when in Blenheim :-
This was recommended to us as a nice place to stop for lunch during a day of wine tasting, and we're so glad we took that advice. We had a gin flight with three gins, and ordered some small plates for lunch. Everything was top-notch, and the outdoor setting was a superb complement to the food and drink.
Highlight of our Marlborough trip. Gin flight with three tastes and a can of Fever Tree tonic was a great way to try their best gins.nnFood was really innovative with clever flavours and cooked within our table's aroma range just to whet our appetites.nnLovely spot and a really great place to go to for shopping, eating or drinking whether local or visiting.
