Story

ROCKTOPIA is now open from 9am to 8pm 7 days a week. Rock on down and come check out Mt Maunganui’s best indoor rock climbing gym, bouldering cave, Rock On Cafe and Clip N’ Climb gym. Lots of fun and challenges for the whole family!

Kids absolutely loved it and the time went really fast. Really well priced and great value. Super safe and easy to use for kids of all ages. Friendly and helpful staff onsite to help out and whilst we didn't utilize the Cafe, it's great to have somewhere parents can grab a coffee if they're not climbing.
A fabulous way to help burn off a few calories by scaling walls . They have a variety of different climbing walls to suit all different skill types . There's a Health and safety training video at the beginning to ensure that you are able to use the equipment safely . A lot of fun for everyone.
Pretty good fun, but should be half price for over 50yr olds, cos they won't be there long! I had a blast, but the pulled muscles took over a week of physio to heal! My brain said I was 20, but my body told me different! Good fun for me, but the nephew found it too difficult on the main wall and we weren't shown the kids area. Not much guidance from the staff.
Plenty of parking, reasonable range of climbs for me as a a beginner at least! and friendly helpful staff. Some auto belays, some need a spotter. Not a huge bouldering section, but there is separate kids section.
As grandparents, we took our two grandchildren 12 and 9 here on a rainy summer's day in the school holidays The facility was packed out with children and parents of all ages. It was awesome watching children climb a variety of vertical walks and objects overcoming their fears... harnessed, if course. The grandchildren were buzzing with enthusiasm trying the numerous challenges. Staff on hand and very helpful. A bit noisy, but otherwise super impressed with this business...
It was great fun and some good challenging walls. Unfortunately when a family needed help there were no workers to be found on the floor in the area so the mother had to leave her kids to get someone from the other area. But great people they were ear with instructions. Will come again and I would recommend.
Only climbing centre in Tauranga, good variety of climbs. Bouldering is very good, recommend if you're looking for a good workout
I took my grandchildren. Not a lot of help on the floor. My youngest found it hard to clip and unclip The kids loved it though. Very friendly and welcoming front desk person.
Brilliant place for a bit of indoor fun, best not to go on a super hot day though.
Was good fun for most the kids staff were as helpfull as possible. The older boys had issues with harneses pulling between legs not sure how to help there but for the rest awsomr time cheers.
