'No mass production just tid bits of pure style'
I have been in the clothing industry for over twenty years. My passion for making clothes grew from my time spent living in London in the mid 80's. I discovered the local markets and it was the clothing stalls particularly that left their mark on me. I saw clothes made out of colourful fabrics and retro fabrics and they were fabulous!
My experience in London helped me to realise my eye for design. More specifically, I realized that I adore fabric. Piecing together different colours and textures of retro and new fabrics to create one off pieces is my art form.
Since then I have owned two successful clothing shops, establishing Fin Clothing in Wellington in the 1990's and then Go Clothing in Nelson.
Nowadays, I have a lovely studio at a workspace in central Nelson, that allows me fully explore my creative passion, this is combined with my alteration service "needles and Pins". I have a stall at the Nelson Market each Saturday where new and old customers can meet me one on one. Customers also come up to my studio during the week for personal consultations. I enjoy making high quality one of pieces and working with my loyal clients one-on-one to make them feel inspired by their one off wardrobe and confident about themselves.
If you happen to see an item you like, please get in touch and I will endeavour to meet your needs.
