Josie and Gus Robinson began operating Robbies out of their family kitchen in April 2016. The Robbies brand and its products are a passionate tribute to the founders’ grandparents.
• The name hails from Gus’s side. His grandfather Eric was a pilot for the Royal Air Force in World War II and went by the nickname Robbie.
• The inspiration for the food comes from Josie’s side. Her grandmother Violet was a tremendous cook and gardener, and her grandfather Jock was also a keen green thumb.
With Robbies Pickles and Preserves, Josie and Gus have infused their grandparents’ legacy into food that everyone can enjoy while knowing that it was crafted with passion and love. By making products the way her Nana did years ago, Josie hopes to share with you a taste of homemade goodness that you just can’t find on most supermarket shelves.
At Robbies, we work incredibly hard to deliver delicious, real food in every jar because we believe people deserve to eat good food made with passion, heart, and integrity. Our friends with food allergies and intolerances can also enjoy a wide range of our products. As much as possible, we grow our own ingredients and source locally.
