Beautifully clean, secure and quiet. Ideal for me as a senior on my own with a disability. Dining next door was ideal as did not have to use car. Disability car space right outside unit a bonus. Helpful service when I made the booking direct.Rooms: 5/5
From the welcoming email on booking, to the genuine, friendly greeting and personalized note in my room. Fabulous hosts who understand the true meaning of customer service, you would be hard pressed to find better. A lovely room with great decor and layout. And the chocolates were a great touch too, they were gone before dinner. Thoroughly recommend, will be back for sure.
Impeccable room. Super comfortable bed, decent pillows and beautiful soft linen. The shower had great pressure which is always a plus in my books. I loved the wee chocolates and shower bomb, they were a nice touch. The service was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a stay here I booked a room as I needed a break from my mini demon of a toddler and it was definitely worth it!
I was there for two weeks to work. I met this amazing beautiful couple who owns this accommodation, they are not just friendly but very helpful and they make sure you feel it a home. Very clean, well looked after rooms. This property is located at a spot where everything you'll need is nearby for example if you wanna do your shopping packnsave is just next door, cafes and restaurants are located 2 to 5mins drive and you'll find all types of cuisines. If you into gaming and bar there is a building behind yours to have your little fun with friendly staff. They also provide laundry facilities $4 per wash and dry but hay who's here for washing hahaha. If you are staying in Rangiora I highly and 100% recommend this accommodation. While it’s taken some time for me to write a review - I stayed at the riverside hotel for a night in October 2022. The facilities were nice and clean so absolutely no complaints there. The owners were perhaps a little too keen to show off the facilities by inviting themselves in and showing every detail of the room in which you’d only find everyday household items. I slept well enough, however the next morning Mike had been busy preparing a verbal ambush and was accusing me of damaging their property by intentionally jamming the curtain in the door and that I would need to pay - so like any good kiwi, I apologised for something I wasn’t sure I had done and went back inside. I was taken aback and after receiving Mike morning dressing down I inspected the curtain to find a few very small black spots that presumably, I, had ‘intentionally’ caused. And while Mike really deserved to get a good serve for making his establishment somewhat insalubrious, i decided to return my keys to Charlotte and head for the ferry - not wanting to cause a scene. I understand that this hotel is mikes pride and joy but to falsely accuse a patron of intentional damage and then say you’ll make them pay for the damage that doesn’t exist doesn’t seem like a fail safe business model. I look forward to genuine apology for something that could only be described as a prolonged brain fart. Photos attached of ‘damage’
Great stay! The owners were super friendly and very welcoming. We had discussed about coming with a car trailer and on arrival the owners had already reserved a spot for us and made sure we had plenty of room. Which was super helpful. Our room was very clean, nice shower and comfy bed. Shop-wise, everything was close by, so going out to dinner was easy. We will definitely recommend this place to friends and family. We will be back! Thanks Mike and Charlotte for your kind and welcoming hospitality.

Absolutely Fantastic : - everything you need is provided for. Clean, spacious, comfortable and modern rooms - perfect for a great night sleep and Charlotte & Mike bring their warm friendly touch to ensure your stay is perfect from check in to check out. Highly Recommend. Rooms: Fantastic amenities- TV, cooker, fridge, en-suite, super fast wifi, toiletries - and immaculately clean
