We stayed for 6 nights in an accessable room. It was very comfortable + user friendly having been designed for a disabled occupant. The food was sublime, I have a nut allergy + was reassured that every meal was checked with the appropriate chef. The staff were friendly, helpful + knowledgeable about the local area. We would recommend this hotel to everyone. Rooms: Accessable room is easy to use for a disabled person. Food & drinks: Food is delicious + menu varies each day
Off the beaten track in Bellingham, this is a gem. Lovey place with Friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. The food was excellent and they have a nice real ale from a local brewery. Places like this make working away from your loved ones much more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend the Riverdale to anyone. Thank you ! Rooms: Rooms tidy, clean and spacious. From the second we arrived at reception we received a warm and friendly welcome and this continued throughout our stay and was the same which ever member of staff we had the pleasure of meeting. We were staying for two nights end of Feb/start of March in a family room on a deal which gave outstanding value. Our room was huge, clean and comfortable. The bookable pool is a great facility. The location and grounds are lovely. The food is in both the bar and restaurant is excellent. Everything we wanted for a wonderful break, which we needed. Lovely place, lovely people.
We last came here 31 years ago!! We were not disappointed. With addition of the garden rooms, modern approach with the charm of yesteryear. Friendly staff, willing to have chat and aid in matters. We experienced a few snags however given 5 stars as Simon and Team were vefy quick to rectify. Undoubtly the food was the best we had eaten throughout our trip.
Lovely hotel. Staff were accommodating to our baby and the food was excellent. We used the pool which was very nice and the room was very clean. We will definitely return. Rooms: Good spacious rooms
Five star service. From a three star hotel. Dinner and breakfast was lovely. Rather struggled to eat it all. Staff were all very helpfull and attentive. Was there with my dog and stayed in the anex patio doors out to a nice grassy area. Only fault I could pick up on was my shower wasn't the warmest. But that was probally due to me not being able to twizzle a knob. Thanks for a nice stay.
LOVELY MEAL ...excellent food actually Mrs had the homemade onion and cider soup with an apple crouton...Best soup we both ever had hands down.. that's no easy task as we all have had great soups but this was perfect! I had the beautiful prawns to start.spot on garlic butter King prawns. Then came the mains.. .all the staff were brilliant.. made us feel like family.. Vegetable puff pastry with different vegetables of the day..and a sauce of tasty quality the pastry... perfect.. I had the pan-fried chicken breast stuffed with cream cheese ham and spinach,wrapped in prosciutto served with dalphinoiuse potatoes.. WOW!!!!!! with a tomato and basil sauce...mmmmm. I'm going back as soon as possible 10 out of 10 Perfection!!!!!, nothing less was achieved here!! Staff couldn’t be more pleasant. Room was lovely with an amazing view. Nice little dip in the swimming pool. Food is delicious and not too pricey. Walkability: Very close to Hadrians wall.
Absolutely beautiful place. Clean cute spacious rooms. Lovely view of the countryside. I have never experienced better service yet! We were reminded of our specially arranged dinner and breakfast times upon arrival. Staff were all extremely kind and always on the ball.Rooms: 5/5
