I always enjoy coming here. Menu can feel a little heavy on the fried food but generally a nice place to eat. It has a fantastic playground next door and plenty of outdoor space. Coffee is served strong if that’s your preference. Friendly staff, definitely a good place to take kids.
Beautiful cafe tucked away in Paerata. Perfect for parents with youngish children. A brilliant little play park with even water playso bring a towel and clothes Enjoyable for mums/dads/ grandparents to have a coffee- tea- iced mocha and food while kids get to enjoy the play area.
Phil, Leisha and the team made sure we had a fantastic farewell party last weekend on the covered in deck. Great food and drink everyone had a blast. Thanks for your hospitality Phil!
Really great food with decent pricing and quick service! Very family friendly, a large grassy field and playground with water activities for children also.
Went here today with some friends. Place is cozy and welcoming, heaps of spaces for kids to run around! Tried their keto burger, eggs bene, iced coffee and mochaccino which were all absolutely fantastic! I would like to commend their staff's friendliness too! Young people who are hard working and very accommodating to us! 5 stars!
Disappointing. Ordered food and waited over an hour and still didn’t receive my order. Checked in with the staff on the food and they said its coming another half hour still nothing. The coffee came out about 15min after i ordered them. My friends came 10min after i ordered and they got their food an hour later while i still waited. Finally got fed up with waiting and asked for a refund. Half our table ate while the other waited. The table next to us and the one after that were in the same boat. I advised them to go get a refund and leave. Annoying part is that you can see the kitchen staff and there is no sense of urgency. The whole cafe is not run efficiently and this will ruin this business. If you must go here just don’t expect to eat anytime soon.

Brilliant place to go if you need a moment, playground onsite so you can sip and watch all at once. Food is on the expensive side but been able to cat h your breath while the kids play makes it all worth it. Definitely take Togs and change of clothes for the kids. Kid-friendliness: Playground, toilet, water features, kid friendly food slightly fenced with a field to play with a ball. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp accessible
After many a year travelling far and wide across country in search of a $9 pie that really lives up to its promise…. I am happy to now say I have found one. Rise’n’Shine has proven to me that not only was $9 a fair and reasonable price to pay for such a creative price of pure beauty but it is also a price that even I would pay much more for. Both quality of lamb shank and pastry blended together stunningly to create a $9 experience that I can not wait to have again. And again. And again. Like they stay open much later than other coffee shops in the area, they open all the way to 5pm so you can still get your coffee fix
