Dr Alana and her team very professional and did a wonderful job on my crowns.
I moved to Raumati from Wellington in 2023 at the sametime I needed to see the dentist urgently my first experience was quite awful the receptionist made me feel as if I wasnt worthy as a patient after I had asked if they accepted winz payment. The tone and attitude changed it was strange my dentist Kate who no longer works there was professional understanding as I recently had brain surgery and kind. Winz paid for everything I needed done but upon making a full payment the receptionist who gave me the quote had beach something dental instead of Rimu road dental and wouldnt accept the payment at rimu dental. The receptionist kept asking me if the payment was approved I said yes and even showed her the amount she wasnt very helpful I later found out the 2 different dentists names beachside and rimu dental are assigned different eftpos systems the work was done at Rimu road dentist but the quote was from beachside so I had to go to beachside to make payment I had to go twice as the time I was given the dentist closed early that day. Fast forward a year later 2024 I called to enquire for an appointment spoke with Mel was okay once I asked if winz was still accepted the tone changed asking me I needed to make sure it will be approved before I could be seen but it gets worse I have to get one part approved for consult and xray before I coule get the total work needed which means I have to go back to winz to get another approval by talking to another winz agent to repeat again why I am calling. I called another dentist in Paraparaumu and I cant believe the consult and xrays is $35 cheaper + they do not require the full payment up front until I know what work is needed for me to take only one quote to winz one not two quotes not having to call winz twice and re explain and especially have to feel like crap about calling dentist for help when already in alot of pain. What a nightmare and im glad im not pursuing as desperate and in pain I am in I rather go somewhere else where I know ill be treated with respect no matter what method of payment.
I'm choosing to give a 5 star rating because I feel like they really do deserve it.nnI felt very welcomed and comfortable during the whole procedure and was clearly spoken to which made things very easy to understand, they had no problems answering any questions I had and were also friendly & positive .nnVery happy to go back when needed knowing I'll be taken care of definitely is good to know, would reccomned to anyone who feels nervous, theres nothing to worry about with this team!
I have had the pleasure of being looked after by both Alana and Mark on two occasions and they are both not only so professional and skilled, but lovely, friendly people who made me feel so comfortable. I can't recommend Rimu Rd dental enough.
Excellent! Lovely, friendly, personable staff who really care and take the time to explain what needs to be done and willing to answer any questions. I felt looked after and valued.
