Dunedin RDA is one of 54 voluntary (not-for-profit) Riding for Disabled groups around New Zealand, and we are affiliated with the New Zealand Riding for Disabled Association.
The Riding for the Disabled Association Inc was established in New Zealand in 1972, and Dunedin Group RDA was established in 1973. The location of Dunedin RDA has changed over the years but we now have our own land in Fairfield, Dunedin.
Dunedin RDA is a not for profit organisation which is run and managed by volunteers and two staff. We receive no government funding and rely on grants, private riding, corporate sponsorship and generous donations from the community to keep the RDA operating.
We run 6 days a week providing therapeutic horse riding for approximately 50 riders, with a wide range of disabilities.
