I would like to do 5 stars but look, I will be honest the school buildings are great, but the Teachers are kinda strict and some of the Teachers are favoritism. Ignoring the student which might affect someone's MENTAL HEALTH. The teachers look like they don't care about bullying. Wheres The Respect?
I really need to express how frustrated I am about what's been happening. As a International student, I've seen favoritism teachers and teachers not paying attention to a student for having a high performance, during the second half of term 2 and into term 3. It's really taking a really bad result on my mental health and my friends' well-being too. When some students get special treatment, it makes the rest of us feel overlooked and unappreciated, even though we put in a lot of effort. Especially a teacher giving a Spirit Of Riccarton to someone and just ignoring the other students who deserve it to!It’s even worse when teachers give us really tough feedback, like saying we won’t succeed in the future. That’s just not okaynUnfortunately, some students are also experiencing incidents of bullying, which further contributes to the toxic environment. The lack of teacher intervention and care for student welfare is alarming. All I want is for the teachers to treat us fairly and be more proactive in addressing any instances of bullying.
Does absolutely nothing against bullying. Teachers can’t be bothered dealing with the bullies and instead turn to dealing with the victims, which obviously makes their mental health worse as it decreases their already shattered self-esteem and confidence. Mental health problems are rife within the student population. They’ve had pointless anti-bullying campaigns which does nothing as obviously bullies don’t care about stuff like that. The school also doesn’t communicate with students and doesn’t take their concerns into account a lot of the time.nnThere are some fantastic teachers though that really go out of their way to help you. Others are terrible but there are more good teachers than bad when it comes to teaching and learning. A wide range of extra-curricular activities and student recognition/awards as well, although they should promote and encourage them more.nnNot sure why a lot of people are giving this school five stars as there are clearly grave issues that need to be addressed.
Great school to be raised! Most of the staff are really helpful, the volleyball program is the best with the best coaches!!! The library has got to be the best out there since we share it with the public. You only get out what you put in
Really great school, there are some great teachers some are not quite as good but the majority are very friendly and really try to help you succeed. I would strongly recommend applying to this school, or if you happen to have teens of your own, then do a little research into this school and sign them up!
