Absolutely amazed and delighted that we dined here on our trip to Napier. The service, cuisine and the overall experience was outstanding. The hosts were attentive and engaging with stories about the decor. The opening crackers and sambal were a delightful surprise. After the Rijsttafel which is the 11 course experience we received a complentary dessert which was light and refreshing. Vegetarian options: Loads of vegan and vegetarian options. I had the Rijsttafel with my partner who is vegetarian and didn't miss the lack of meat. It didn't feel like ingredients left out but a true Indonesian experience. Kid-friendliness: Quite a few children's options. Saw them come out for others and they looked outstanding. Not just nuggets and chips. Parking: Loads of street parking. Dietary restrictions: Vegan, vegetarian and gluten free available.
Awesome Indon food in NZ! My best meal yet! We visited the resto on our first day at Napier 3A2C and had the Ultimate Rijsttafel and the seafood one, as well as a nasi goreng and an entrée Soto Ayam. Every dish was impressive with the level of spices it’s the fragrance of the herbs and spices added, not so much of spicy hot. Kudos to the owners for such effort and service!
Loved everything about this restaurant from the descriptive table mats to the food to the people that run the place. The food was very special and the hosts description of each one very pleasant. Will dine here again Thanks
Came for dinner on New years eve. Vivi was nice enough to squeeze us in. The food takes you on a journey across some of the regions in Indonesia, including bali and Jakarta. Awesome service and amazing food. I can say this is the best, unique Indonesian restaurant in NZ

So delicious. Never had rijsttafel before but it was an immediate “yes please” when we saw the menu/concept. What a great way to try many different dishes, at a reasonable price. Nice relaxed atmosphere, friendly, comforting. Authentic food, we felt like part of the family. Very glad we stopped in on the way past on the off chance of getting a table. Oh and the home-made sambal is amazing and you can buy some to take home - which we did.
The supreme rijsttafel is superb! Delicious food, great hospitality, love the ambience too. Will definitely visit again when we are in Napier.

An easy 5 stars this one the moment you walk through the door you are grated with the most friendly and warm service that continues until you walk out again. In between youll be treat to some of the most delicious and flavoursome food you could hope to find. I absolutely loved the Nasi Goreng Rendang Special. Do your taste buds a flavour favour, and come and experience the delights Restaurant Indonesia has to offer.
First time here and it was a real experience! We got the meat 11 course 'journey' so I could taste all the different dishes and it was amazing each dish was distinct and tasty but my favourite was the lamb curry. It was great to eat food where the spices not the heat were the hero's Food: 5/5
