Report IT NZ is an independent organisation that provides a simple way for people to pass on information and alerts to others.

Story

Report IT NZ is just a group of traders who frequently uses both Facebook & Trade Me – Two of the largest trading sites in New Zealand. We all enjoyed trading on both sites, but we couldn’t help notice an increasing number of scams & scammers affecting a big portion of communities all over New Zealand.

For almost 5 years we have operated a number of buying and selling groups on Facebook and quietly in the background, identifying scams, scammers and people who were utilizing Facebook to sell stolen items on including the sale of illegal drugs and black market tobacco products.

Report IT NZ is an independent organisation that provides a simple way for people to pass on information and alert others in the community about scam, crime, feedback from a trading site or report something stolen.

We aim to reduce people becoming victims to online scams, scammers and dodgy people. Working together we can make it harder for criminals to operate and less likely that people in our community will become victims of their crime.

While our focus is on social media buying and selling we also deal with Landlord and Tenants, Shoplifting and a public registrar of convicted sex offenders. No matter what you wish to use our site for networking together is the most useful tool that is around.
