As our daughter approaches the end of year 6, we find ourselves reflecting on her time at Redwood School. It has been an amazing journey, and we couldn’t be more grateful for all the opportunities and support the school has provided. While our girl is excited about the new opportunities ahead, we know she will deeply miss the school, and the many special memories she has made.nThe principal, together with his dedicated staffing team create a wonderful learning space for our kids to thrive. Their commitment to creating an environment where children enjoy coming to school and can fully develop their potential is something we deeply admire.nThe principal himself is not only deeply involved in the day-to-day life of the school but highly supportive of new ideas and fostering connections with the community, which has a significant impact on the positive atmosphere of the school. His approachable nature and genuine willingness to listen creates a strong sense of trust and collaboration within the school community.nIt has been amazing to see how the school has grown over the years. Our son, who still has two years at Redwood, loves being part of the school. We are confident that his journey will be just as memorable and rewarding as his sisters.nThank you to the principal, teachers, and everyone who contributes to making Redwood School such a supportive and inspiring place for our children! We feel incredibly fortunate to be part of this community!

We left the school due to circumstances unrelated to the school. We missed it a lot and have managed to return to a very warm welcome. The principal and staff are very trusted and respected professionals. The principal is not one to hide in his office but is seen out in the playground and in classrooms fostering positive relationships with students and staff. The teachers are reflective practitioners making learning fun, meeting students learning needs and holistically caring for children. The school is an exemplar to other schools regarding structured Literacy and PB4L.

Redwood Primary school is amazing Nick the principal has been Supportive and helpful in every situation with my child . Nick is a absolute credit to the school we couldn't have managed without his a caring and the extra support he has given us. He's always helping others and taking time out to make sure all students are happy and safe . Teachers are great at redwood too and give there best to help all students . Highly recommend this school it's been the best years of my child's life . Thank you redwood primary school and especially Nick the principal my child looks up to you as a role model you have always been there to make sure everything goes smoothly so a big THANK YOU .

We had such a positive experience at Redwood School, some fantastic teachers and a great community.nDuring our time at Redwood School Nick Gunn become the new principal, this was such a positive change for the school. I was really impressed with his personal approach and ability to address every student by name. Chris Thurlow was also a massive part of our positive experience at Redwood for both or boys. Now that we have moved on to intermediate and high school it is now so much more apparent just how great their primary school days really were. I would have not hesitation in recommending this school to anyone moving to the area.

Redwood is an incredible school! Redwood is very welcoming and has a great learning environment. The high quality of teaching, and support that we have received during challenging times demonstrates the schools commitment to their values.nMatua Nick is an amazing principal who goes above and beyond on a daily basis to ensure every student has the best opportunity to learn and achieve. His passion for all tamariki is evident through his interactions and involvement with every aspect of school life. My two daughters have had such a great experience and loved their time at Redwood.
