Flat route on a coastal road. Walkers do have to contend with the occasional 4WD vehicle using the same route. An easy walk to the rocks, and a little further to the seals in winter.
We walked this track like so many others. Parked at the visitor center. Plenty of parking there.nnLovely walk along the long stretch of beach. Ocean on one side tall steep slope on the other.nnCan be less than pleasant on blustery days.nnWell worth the stroll. Lovely scenery, wasn't crowded.
Sights @ Red Rocks Reserve.n.nThis rugged coastal area features a 7.4km walking trail that takes you around interesting geological features in about 2 - 3 hours.n.nBecause of high iron oxide, many of the rocks in the area are amber red in colour, contrasted by the gray rocks shaped roughly by ocean spray, creating a surreal yet beautiful landscape.n.nThere's a colony of fur seals here in winter; though people are advised to keep a distance so as not to cause them stress. Also, many seagulls.n.nSpotted a shooting star on a night here.
Great place and an awesome drive with the 4x4 we make sure not to go where we shouldn't and to the people that moan about us 4wd guys each to their own.
Best place to park up with a whiskey and a good fire
