Recon Security have been absolutely fantastic. They look after our business alarm monitoring and call outs. Their staff are very polite, helpful and professional. I've been impressed with how strongly they follow their internal procedures to ensure they are always talking to the correct person when calling about an alarm activation or touching base to let us know we haven't turned the alarm on at the end of the day. They are well priced, pleasant to deal with and very competent. I cant recommend Recon enough.
As the New Zealand Asset Manager for a global corporate I have had the pleasure of working with Recon Security for over 15 years. Recon provide us guard services when redeveloping or building new sites and at times emergency guard services for the likes of earthquakes or protest action. We find Recon to be very responsive and professional both at the coal face and in the back office. A great team whom I have no hesitation in recommending.
Nathan from Recon Security came to service my existing alarm today. Checked all alarms were operational including the smoke alarms. Checked and cleaned all sensors and pin pad. Went over step by step how to operate the system. Nathan was efficient, professional with great customer service. I would recommend the The Recon team for all new and existing alarm systems. Wonderful front line team. I came in late to my Accomadation, and the security guard was on point, I had a huge day, was tired and stressed, he and I simply had a chat and we both had a laugh. I went to bed that night happy. Front line team are on point.
Thanks to the crew at Recon Security for the recent security installation at the new administration building. Who would have thought wireless security system would ever be a reality. Easy to use and I can log in and check if the security is on remotely by using an app - that's modern life I guess. Hey, throw in a monitored fire alarm :- Also really enjoyed working with Pete to get it underway and then the install was done efficiently. Ongoing looks very organised. Recon Security provides security guards on Friday and Saturday night for the apartment complex I live in, Soho Apartments. From what I've experienced, I'm impressed with how professionally the security guards handle incidents such as too much noise. They are always very polite, friendly and respectful.
I contacted Recon for a quote for a CCTV and Peter Jones came out to have a look at my house. He confirmed a couple of places where the cameras would go. When the installer came, he said that one of these places could not have a camera fixed to it, so we had to find another place to install it. The hard drive of the machine and one of the cameras died within a year. It took Recon 7 weeks to replace the hard drive, which is way too long to be without your security system. And Recon didn’t do anything about fixing the camera. During that time the installer told me that the system was not a digital one, which was what I requested. Peter Jones gave me all the technical jargon to confuse me when he was selling me the system. When I spoke to him on the phone he laughed at me and said he had given me what he had quoted. I emailed the company three times in regards to the camera not working and they just ignored my emails. I had another company Safegard come to help me and when their guy saw the recorder, he said he had never seen that type of recorder before. I suspect that Recon use cheap ‘no brand’ systems to cut their cost down. I don’t normally complain about people but the way they treat their customers is appalling. I spent a lot of money on this system, and I didn’t even get what I asked for. And they still haven’t come to look at the camera. I notice that they also have a 1 star review from another customer of theirs on fb. Good to know that I’m not the only one.
Where to start with this guys? Worst service received ever. I strongly suggest that you consider other companies to have you monitored, and if you do go with Rekon make sure you test them. They have tried to charged 2 months where they weren't receiving any signal. Closing the account took us a month!! Terrible communication!!
