Read Bros Hardware was established in 1867, and has served the Thames area for 150 years!

Story

We are a traditional hardware store which bases its business on good old fashioned, first name service, delivered with character and integrity. We strive to create relationships, robust relationships, where we share with our customers, our friends and help them grow, so that we might also grow and prosper. We like to know our customers first names, because friends help each other. That's what we do, Help. Come in and see if you don't believe us.

We have goods that you don't see in other hardware stores, because, in the old days, things lasted a long time, and kiwis like to fix old good things that wear out, We like that notion and want to help them.
