Had dinner there great location nice friendly staff. Scotch fillet steak meal was a 10+ from family members who loved and enjoyed there meals highly recommend. Pork Ribs 1+ was dry and like chewing rubbing could see the minute after receiving it it wasn't appealing hopefully they see and read the experience shared and improved in that might have been a 1 off. Overall great place. must stop in to rangriri if pasting through Food & drinks: Scotch fillets steak meal highly recommended by family members, the pork ribs was dry and tough had a sore jaw after finishing meal from constant chewing.
Meals are typical pub. Good sizes and reasonably cheap. The fact it is an important heritage site is really awesome. The workmen are required to take their boots off before they enter this beautiful historic building. There is some historic land nearby about Maori land wars.Service: 5/5
Never stayed there. But their friendly And pretty staff serve a great pint of Guinness . I love the feel of the place. And have stopped and had an occasional beer there ever since before 6 o'clock closing went out.Service: 5/5
This place never disappoints, we come along time and time again and have such a great experience. Love the chef, he is brilliant, meals are large but tasty and great quality Renovations have made a huge difference to revitalize the place, garden seating area looking amazing Love that it's our local!!!
We’ve been coming here for three years, very occasionally and each time it will be our last, but the only other option is to stay home and cook. It’s one of the only eateries around. Staff get a 5 rating. Friendly, warm and helpful. Atmosphere gets a 5, since being redecorated and finally has the new carpet down. Looks good. Menu gets a 2 as it hasn’t changed in a very long time. Food gets a 1, if you’re lucky. Not cheap, poorly presented and certainly not good quality. We ordered a rare steak and Thai chicken. Took an hour to arrive, but we were warned of that. Both meals were bland and colourless and the steak was well done. Took it back and waited another 15 minutes as you’d expect, but by that time I’d eaten my meal. So as for an enjoyable evening out for dinner, it would have to rate a 2. Ate separately. $85 bill, eating alone! But we’ll probably be back, when we get desperate!!
Went for a meal. Mixed review some meals looked great others like pork belly dry and tough. Thou biggest disappointment was the scallops. Not real they were artificial scallops bites.

Great service, cute room and renos so far look awesome. I should have researched facilities are shared not sure if that is the case with all rooms No aircon just a ceiling fan and small electric heater. TV with sky. Great outdoor bar area and live music, great vibe I would prefer a self-contained room but for what is it, apart from no air con, no complaints! Rooms: Simple. No facilities except a sink. Tv with sky. Nicely decorated. Clean.
We came for lunch was greeted warmly, great service great outdoor flow with live music she is amazing. Highlight for us is always the kai. Thank you staff.
One of the best meals ever... Lamb shanks were brilliant again but the chips and veg!! Whoever made those... Yummo!! Great place and would always recommend...Service: 4/5
