Parkside did not disappoint! You definitely need a reservation here because the place is SO busy for weekend brunch. The service is great and the food is outstanding. I highly recommend the fried chicken waffle sandwich. The fried chicken seasoning is excellent with a small kick to it. Our kids enjoyed the French toast and my husband loved the eggs. We will definitely be back!
The pretzel was awesome! Soft and warm! The margarita was large, but we had to order an extra shot to float on top to taste the tequila. My boyfriend had prime rib cooked medium rare but looked more like medium. I had the surf and turf. The shrimp were tasty, but my steak was cooked medium well. The waitress did offer me a new one, but I declined. I didn't want to wait for another. The waitress was very nice and quick. I'd go back, but not for the beef :
My family and I enjoyed Sunday brunch. We were worried that we would not be able to be seated because we didn't have a reservation but we did. I enjoyed a Bloody Mary and my mom tried their special peach Mason. I had the fried chicken breakfast bowl and it was delicious. The servers were very friendly and I believe I will be back.
Food was good but not as good as I expected. I ordered the boneless short rib benedict and the poached egg was a mess and cold by the time it got to me cold yolk, not the best. Other than that I’m sure it would have been better. The hash was a big portion and good, would of been better if the taters were whole and a little crunchy everything kinda mushed together. Side of bacon was cold and not fresh as you can see in the picture. We had to ask for our silverware after getting our food. I recommend you make a reservation. We were sat right away but there was a wait for those who didn’t make a reservation. I will definitely give Parkside another try, hopefully it was just an off day. Servers were nice and other food options did look good.
My husband and I came here for dinner New Year’s Day we had made a reservation. The restaurant has great atmosphere and decor. The host at the front was not friendly and not pleasant, almost as if he was doing us a favor checking us in. Not a smile not a happy new year - nothing. He dropped us off at our table. Our waitress was nice, not overly friendly but kind. She was professional. They have a good bar, beer and wine menu. We ordered the large pretzel one of my favorite things it came with queso and spicy mustard. The pretzel was disappointing, it was hard in spots and dry- it was almost as if it was old and reheated. The table next to us also got a pretzel and theirs looks way better. I overheard the gentleman say - “oh this is way better than the last time we got this here”. My husband got a steak salad and I got the Porkchop in bone. The meal was good. Not amazing, but good.
This is quite the place with character. The food was extraordinary. Got the honey buffalo wings for an appetizer. They were cooked to perfection and SO good. So good that they were eaten before I could snap a picture. For lunch, I got the BLT with extra bacon with a Caesar Salad. Beyond amazing.
I had a great experience at Parkside. We went on a Saturday afternoon and saw people waiting outside the door to get in. I'm glad we didn't let this deter us because the wait was not long and they were seating people quickly and efficiently. Once seated, our waitress greeted us and she was friendly and attentive. I ordered a cheeseburger with romaine, tomato, onion, and cheese. French fries were my side. Let me start off by saying the French fries are delicious. There's no way you would have caught me sharing them after that first bite. The burger was also delicious. I'm pregnant so I had to order well done, I normally enjoy a medium rare. I wasn't expecting it to be great--boy, was I wrong. I thought I couldn't put my fries down, now I couldn't put down my burger. They did an excellent job and I hope to be back soon!
This was a fairly good experience past the anxiety of trying to find parking! We had a reservation so that helped. They have a really good selection of beer per my husband. We ordered the short rib poutine and it was really good. I had the Prime Rib Burger, minus arugula and it was phenomenal! One of the best I have eaten actually. My husband got the Shrimp n Grits but they lacked flavor and not much chorizo. The shrimp were good, but he wasn't overly impressed with the rest. I definitely had the better choice. We wanted to try the dates but they were out. I wouldn't mind returning!
Wow, I don't know where to start. The food was just not good. My daughter's mac & cheese was like soup. We asked for a medium well-done steak and it was raw. The steak cost $99 but was all fat. It took a while to cook so when sent out back we just took it to go. The sides were very bland. The waiter was good though. The host was not we waited in line for our reservation and when it got to our turn tell him our name. He skipped us and said let me these people first. They were gracious and said we had gotten here first but was very odd that he would overlook us like that.
Cute restaurant in downtown Raleigh. Bacon wrapped figs were delicious. My burger was amazing. They were very short staffed but service was still awesome. Will go back next time in NC
