The attraction is a massive statue of a salmon..... kinda cool I guess. There are good information boards of the back story of it and the surrounding area. Also, good toilet facilities, kids playground, cafe and petrol station all really close, so it makes for a decent rest stop if you are passing through
absolutely beautiful with all the work that have been done around darling harder we enjoyed our walk and so happy to see so many kids playing in the kids area near the McDonald’s Darling Harbour and it’s also a waterpark.
I've always loved seeing the Salmon when passing through ever since I was younger. My brother and I stopped yesterday on our way home and I loved seeing it lit up at night. Although I hope they can fix it up a bit in some spaces such as near end of tail as looked a bit worn. Other than that it's always a good spot to rest your legs, use the restroom nearby or the Salmon Tails Cafe next door to it.
The visitor center is tucked in amongst a lot of buildings at the Mount Cook complex. Took a bit to find it but worth it once we got there.
Great place for a short break and to play. Here you can see the cultural and historical features of the region. There is a special salmon sculpture, which can be seen from a distance. Children can find special fun.nAn orange tractor head, so cool! It's classic and new, well maintained. Looks like the people here took good care of it and loved it.nThere is also a cafe, but we haven't experienced it yet. Our family and friends made great memories here.
