Amazing experience of hospitality, courtesy and excellent food - affordable too. Many thanks to Raj and family for making it so nice. The dishes are very generous - we ordered just the standard stuff and it was a total feast, and great quality. They courteosly gave us take-away containers for the considerable left-overs which we will enjoy tomorrow! I recommend this to anybody.
Amazing and tasty food! Nothing to complain about. Plenty of options to order. You can dine in or takeaway, always friendly staff and welcome you in to their restaurant. Highly recommend.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Raj in Balclutha, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. This Indian shop truly lives up to its reputation as the best in town.nnI ordered the Kadai Prawn, Onion Bhajis, and a Garlic Naan, and each dish was simply to die for! The Kadai Prawn was perfectly spiced and cooked to perfection, with a rich and flavorful sauce that left me wanting more. The prawns were succulent and fresh, making this dish a standout.nnThe Onion Bhajis were crispy and golden, with a delightful crunch that paired wonderfully with the accompanying chutney. They were light and not greasy at all, which is a testament to the quality of their preparation.nnThe Garlic Naan was fluffy and aromatic, with just the right amount of garlic. It was the perfect complement to the Kadai Prawn, helping to soak up every bit of the delicious sauce.nnThe ambiance at Raj is warm and welcoming, and the staff were attentive and friendly, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. If you're in Balclutha and craving authentic Indian cuisine, Raj is an absolute must-visit. I can't recommend it highly enough!
Lovely gentleman served us.nWas gracious and accommodating.nI don't normally eat a curry, but they made it mild for me, and the rice was freshly made and fluffy.
Always enjoy a visit to this place. Friendly staff and good food, not over priced and you get a sense that they know their customers. Good job guys
