Fun On The Water With Raglan Watersports

Getting out on the water is a must when you’re in Raglan – and there’s so many ways to do it…

Standup paddleboarding is all the rage right now – hire a board and explore the calm waters of Raglan’s inner estuary or head into the harbour and discover the intriguing rock formations of the limestone coast. A lesson with one of our professional ISA (International Surfing Association) accredited instructors will have you paddling like a pro in no time, or join us for a guided tour and discover the harbour’s most hidden secrets.

Alternatively, cruise the water in one of our comfortable kayaks. We’ve got rentals available for independent adventuring or hop aboard one of our guided kayak tours. Add a rod and reel (and a few choice snippets of local knowledge) and you could be bringing home dinner – kayak fishing is a thrilling day out and we’ve got all the gear you need to land a tasty catch!

For those with a hankering for an adrenaline thrill, kiteboarding could be just the ticket. Learning to harness the power of the wind and fly over the water is a buzz like no other. Lessons are highly recommended: our two-hour intro is a fun – and safe way - to get a feel for the sport.

Raglan’s long sandy beach is a great place to give surfing a go. If you’re looking to practise at your own pace, we’ve got surfboards and wetsuits for hire and private or small group lessons available.

You can even hire mountain bikes.
