Raglan Surf Co : Raglan's surf shop since 1992!

Story

When globetrotting shaper and airbrush maestro Craig Hughes returned to New Zealand in 1987, it wasn't long before he started visiting his old haunt of Raglan. Securing work re-establishing the Town & Country brand, he soon moved with his young family to the then quiet west coast town, and not long after opened the Raglan Surf Co.

The shop's humble beginnings were eclipsed by the momentum that the surfboard factory generated. With many of the local board building identities getting involved, it soon established itself as the most progressive board factory in the country, and became a focal point for local and visiting surfers. Johnny Boy, Sunny, Archbold, Occy, and Machado, among others, have all scrawled messages on the glassing room walls, while enjoying the odd beer and a yarn to the whir of the extractor fans.

With the long winding waves of the Raglan points as the consistent testing ground, the Surf Co. has been producing high performance surfboards for almost two decades, providing equipment for many of New Zealand's top surfers, and amassing an impressive list of National and circuit titles.

Having relocated the board factory several years ago, the shop grew substantially and it now presents all the major surf labels and the most comprehensive range of surf hardware in the country, not to mention an impressive line-up of home grown surfboards. This includes a complete range of designs developed to enhance specific levels of surfing. From longboards to mini-fish, to high performance shortboards, all are available, and in traditional P.U construction, or custom epoxy options.

Raglan Surf Co. offer a quality repair service, and are installers of genuine FCS and Future Fins systems. An extensive board & wetsuit range is available for day or long term hire, whilst intermediate and advanced level coaching or tuition can be arranged.
