We stayed here for a couple nights tent camping, it was great! Toilets and shower block near the end could of been cleaned more regularly otherwise a fantastic place, close to the beach and good fence line to keep the public out, and good rules for 1030pm absolute quietness, we will definitely return some day! Great fishing 5-10min drive to the beach. Just keep your belongings near you at all times on campsite as someone thought it was ok to take my tooth paste, but that would go for any campsite.. my fault as i had left them in the shower overnight.
Reception staff are super friendly. Clean and tidy grounds with enough space between each other. Bathroom facilities were a let down & not cleaned very well. Overflowing sanitary bins in near all the toilets and dirty showers throughout the 2 nights we stayed. I visited various times throughout the day and no cleaner had been.
Great Campground and felt extremely safe as security patrolling till late into the night and camera's operating. Service was excellent and all facilities were kept clean and tidy. Did have a few minor issues with the showers being a bit dirty and shower temps being dangerous due to extreme hot and cold changes but was only an issue with 2-3 of the ladies showers and overall was great
Would not recommend. Have been to this holiday park multiple times now and has progressively gotten worse. Our first stay was great with a powered site we loved. When checking out we asked about getting this site the next year for the same weekend and did exactly that. We came back prior to that stay, and confirmed, in person, we had that site to be told yes we did. When we arrived for that stay we did not have that site and were put on to a site that smelled terrible. We managed to talk to security and be moved to a new site where we stayed for the remainder of our stay but were still annoyed we didn’t get the site we asked for despite booking it as soon as the books opened and being told we had it.nNext, we had a big group booking which we confirmed 3 times in person, while walking around the park confirming the length of each stay on each site/cabin. This booking somehow still got messed up by the office staff who were terribly unfriendly and unsympathetic when we spoke to them about our issues. Firstly, they checked the wrong people into the wrong cabins checked people staying for 4 nights into the 2 night cabin, and the people staying 2 nights into a 4 night cabin. When asked if they could simply swap the bookings so they didn’t have to move cabins, the office ladies rudely refused. The 2 night cabin also had an awful smell, which they were also very unsympathetic about. The next issue was having a site booked for 3 nights instead of 4, however upon check in they confirmed “a 4 night stay for that site?” Which was correct, only to get a text after 3 nights saying we were supposed to have been checked out. Again, they were unfriendly and unsympathetic with this issue and could not compromise with us, and we still had to pay for their mistake.nThe toilets have also been messy and without toilet paper multiple times during our stay.nVery unimpressed overall and will not be coming back.
My partner Diane and I stayed 3 nights here in late November in a self contained cabin. I have stayed at hundreds of Holiday Parks in NZ and in my many travels overseas back in the day. This would have to be one of the best ever. Wonderful welcoming staff and very friendly people throughout the whole park. Beautifully maintained facilities and grounds and at a very reasonable price. Our cabin was far better than we were expecting. 10 out of 10 all the way. Keep up the good work team. We will most definitely be back.
