Great campground in an awesome location!nWe only stayed a couple of nights, but definitely keen to come back for more.nSpacious campsites pretty much right on the beach front. Playground for the kids, games & entertainment put on by the campground activities, movie nights etc. Short walk over the bridge into town.nThere's also a large public playground next to the campground & a little shop that sells fish & chips & ice-creams too I think, although I didn't see it open for ice cream.nThe kitchen facilities are good, bathrooms are reasonably clean & adequate, shower pressure quite good.nMy only negative comment is & I deducted a star for this is people were smoking EVERYWHERE. No matter where I walked i breathed in cigarette smoke, it was quite unpleasant. I haven't experienced anything like it since the 90s.nI was concerned also as my daughter suffers from severe asthma, but thankfully it didn't trigger her too much.nBecause of all the smoking though, there are cigarette butts on the ground everywhere, which is kinda gross. I've never actually come across this at a campground before & we're pretty seasoned campers.nMy suggestion would be perhaps to follow other campgrounds & either make the campground smokefree or have a designated smoking area - this would make it much for pleasant for non-smokers!
We stayed in a non-powered site for two nights and would definitely recommend this place to friends & family.nnThere was a big open shared kitchen/dining area which was enjoyed by many. Lots of toilets & showers around the campground which made it easy to get a shower even during the busy period. All of the facilities were clean & tidy. Lots of bins around too.nnStaff were friendly and helpful, there was also security on site which made you feel safe. Location was perfect, just a short walk across the camp ground to beach access and a 10 minute walk into town.
First time here, family Christmas get together.nOrganisation was faultless, we had 3 sites together, near shower's and toilets .nOn Day 2, the weather was CRAP, so the group adjourned to the games room, table's free, we brought our own games - cards mainly.nThe shower's/toilets were cleaned daily and the staff were friendly while working hard.nAccess to the village was easy via a bridge over the estuary and the village was delightful.nHighly recommend the Raglan Holiday Park - 10/10.
Great holiday park. We tented for 7 days. Jumping pillow and playground. Grass area with stage and lots of activities like outdoor movie, talent quest, arts and crafts put on my camp. Also giant jenga, Connect 4, games room with pool table and table tennis. Kitchen and bathroom facilities awesome. Free 5min showers. Beach right there - beautiful for sunset swims. Pump track and skate boarding right next to the camp and massive field with football goals. And a beautiful little walk across the field and over a footbridge to get to the great little town with so many awesome little shops and cafes!
Awesome camping spot, not too far from Auckland. Facilities, cleanliness and service top notch. Wifi super speedy and hot water pressure surprisingly high. Competitions and movie nights for kids during holiday period. Overall this place is great value. If you're like me who's looking further than Auckland's overrated parks, this place ticks all boxes. Pity we had to leave a day early due to terrible wind but will return again.
