The campsite itself was nice but im giving it 3 star because the 5 minute shower timer is too short, my partner was unable to wash her hair. I get not wanting people to take ages in the shower, but 5 minutes is excessive. You pay to use the facilities and should be able to wash your hair if you want to.
Perfectly located and in walking distance to town, it's the campsite to be in if you want ease and Raglan on your doorstep. The campsite has great kitchen and shower amenities and was kept consistently clean. It's not the campsite you visit for views from your camper/tent but puts you in pole position for experiencing what Raglan has to offer
Fantastic location, right by the beach and a short walk to Raglan which is such a lovely town with great restaurants, cafes and shops and a great vibe.  Good kitchen facilities and lots to do.  Showers in Flounder Avenue in need of upgrading. 3 of the showers were running cold and the ones which were warm/hot were so low pressure couldn’t wash my hair. Ditto some else’s comment about smoking. We had a family arrive the night before we left, parked right beside us, heavy smokers which meant we had to close our windows! Park should put smokers together.  Glad we went for a non poweredsite and paid to choose our spot as the powered sites looked very close together. Some  sites are right next to the dump station and bins……the smell when people empty their portaloos is so gross –and there were people camping close by! $50 per person per night for an unpowered site!
Great campground in an awesome location!nWe only stayed a couple of nights, but definitely keen to come back for more.nSpacious campsites pretty much right on the beach front. Playground for the kids, games & entertainment put on by the campground activities, movie nights etc. Short walk over the bridge into town.nThere's also a large public playground next to the campground & a little shop that sells fish & chips & ice-creams too I think, although I didn't see it open for ice cream.nThe kitchen facilities are good, bathrooms are reasonably clean & adequate, shower pressure quite good.nMy only negative comment is & I deducted a star for this is people were smoking EVERYWHERE. No matter where I walked i breathed in cigarette smoke, it was quite unpleasant. I haven't experienced anything like it since the 90s.nI was concerned also as my daughter suffers from severe asthma, but thankfully it didn't trigger her too much.nBecause of all the smoking though, there are cigarette butts on the ground everywhere, which is kinda gross. I've never actually come across this at a campground before & we're pretty seasoned campers.nMy suggestion would be perhaps to follow other campgrounds & either make the campground smokefree or have a designated smoking area - this would make it much for pleasant for non-smokers!
Had a fantastic stay at Raglan Holiday Park. The park is clean, well maintained, and set in a great location with beautiful views. Facilities were tidy and well looked after, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. It’s a perfect spot for families, couples, or anyone wanting a peaceful getaway. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back again.
