Ordered a burger fish and beer battered chips yesterday after a session out fishing and before heading home. Unfortunately the burger was tasteless which was disappointing. The chips though were great tasting and a good portion, but didn't make up for the burger :
The best fish and chips in New Zealand! Big portions for great value. Over and over again! I just love this place. It can get very busy during dinner time but its so worth the wait while soaking up the beautiful view. Sometimes you can catch them processing the fish that has been caught for the day.
The area is lively! People around the water fishing and getting on their boats. The shop looks fantastic and you can tell the fish is fresh..because the fishing boat is only a few meters away. Chips good, fish goooood. I know I'll visit this place for a feed again and again being only a short drive away from Hamilton.
Nice fish and chips. A little bit on the expensive side but a good portion of chipscrunchy outside and soft inside. The fish tarakihi was a little overcooked but freshand a nice thin, crispy batter. Outdoor seating and the view is worth the trip.
It wS excellent lat night we went. Slightly greasy this time but still fresh snd filling
Fish and chips were delish. Thought gurnard was very small for $7!
I've had fish & chips here in the past and thought it was good. BUT this time I had mild food poisoning that night. I did have a type of fish i don't usually have. I would go back some time in Raglan.
