I have around 20 sheep, which I shear once a year. Not wanting to waste all the lovely wool, I started playing around with different wool crafts.......
About sheep : Most of the sheep are a rare breed of milking sheep called awassi which have different coloured and textured wool. I love them all (even Ivory who prefers to keep to herself), some of them are as cuddly as cats which is often a surprise to visitors who don't expect sheep to be so interactive. I don't dock, castrate or eat any of the sheep. I keep the animals and land mostly organic, but occasionally use conventional treatments if the animals don't respond to organic methods.
