Fabulous day at the races. Nice country atmosphere with the huge mountain a feature in itself. Lots of different seating areas to suit all tastes, whether you prefer bars, tab, picnic with kids, BBQ, grandstand, etc.. Food and drinks good. Toilets good. Recommended for the whole family. Ladies wear a fancy hat and enter the competition to win a prize.

Great facilities, great atmosphere, good family outing, all-round very good
Great track with amazing mountain backdrop
Awesome days racing. Most Beautiful Picturesque race course .
Lovely scenic course. Good members facilities but the tea and coffee are not complimentary like Tauranga. It would be good to have the heaters turned on earlier too. We were disappointed all the tables near the windows were reserved.
Great place to spend a day!
I dropped my grandfathers ashes off to Jen at her office, and she showed me where the Swap Contractors are putting the new finishing post within the next 2wks. Wow my dear grandad Ernest Cowsill is going to be placed at the bottom of the finishing post, he will be there forever. He had winning race horses back in the 60s, may he rest in peace. I think Te Aroha Race Course I will always hold close to my heart. And I must say the track has the grass growing now and it's still going to be the best track out in our country. I thank the racing committee an Jen for being so supportive and wonderful
One of the last surviving country horse racing tracks catering to gallops and steeplechase events. Obviously an old building but still serving punters well. I've been invited there three times this year and thoroughly enjoyed each experience not that I am a punter. A few dollars on each race brings a lot of fun and conversation... Give it a go!
A pity that races had to be cancelled after R3 but a very hospitable club with excellent facilities. We always enjoy a day at TeAroha.
