So beautiful! So worth a stop on the way to Auckland from the Northland. Such pretty flowers, trees and waterfalls. Saw a spotted eel in the larger lake right at the surface and Debs at reception asked for the video so they could post it! Free entry, but nice to leave a donation.
A nice walk with plenty of flowers, rocks and picnic benches to share some lunch. Entry by donation and very worth it. Could easily spend an hour here taking it all in.nThe waterfalls are amazing to watch. The land slides caused by the recent weather are a frightening reminder.. enjoy

A garden in process where it used to be a quarry. There is a wee waterfall and stream. Lots of bromeliads and tropical plants. Quail Cafe at the base was pretty busy.
Absolutely a must go to when you are in whangarei! Stunning plants, well looked after. Definitely will come back .
