About

We are a community based non-profit Kindergarten offering high quality early childhood education to the Putiki and wider Whanganui community.

Story

Putiki Kindergarten operates daily 6 hour sessions, 5 days a week. We draw families from the wider Wanganui region, including, rural, city and local communities.

Teachers develop strong relationships with families and whanau and the kindergarten is well supported by the local community with a supportive committee. Strengths of the Kindergarten programme are inclusion, partnership and biculturalism. There is a Kohanga Reo in the Marae Community and Te Kura Kaupapa Maori School next door.
