Great tour well worth doing. Our host was extremely knowledgeable about LOTR and the Hobbit books and movies, as well as the local history. The views and vista's to Glenorchy were amazing and to match them up to scenes from the movies easy to see. A must if you are in Queenstown.

This tour was magical! Our guide Francesco impressed us with both his New Zealand and Lord of the Rings knowledge. The locations were beautiful and would even appeal to those who are not Ringers. Natural beauty and vistas in every direction. We were sorry for it to end! Small warning: Prepare for the very winding drive just out of Queenstown; it was a bit of a challenge for someone who gets motion sickness.

This tour was one of the highlights of my trip to NZ! Our guide, Joel, was extremely knowledgeable, in addition to being funny and engaging. My husband who is not a huge LOTR fan, also enjoyed the trip as the sights are simply stunning. We had tea in Isengard, which was such an incredible experience. I have been planning this trip to NZ for about 20 years, and this tour was just unbelievably awesome. A must-do for sure!!

Great tour! Joel was very knowledgeable and took us to lots of great filming locations. Loved the props avalible to use in our photos. Definitely recommend to those who want to learn more about the filming aspects/behind the scene of how the films where made.

Joel the owner and guide of our tour was fantastic! We saw incredible views, learned a ton about lotr and the filming process. We also had a great time joking around and taking some really fun pictures in a private valley! One of the best experiences of my trip to NZ. Also got to meet some really cool people also taking the tour. We got snacks and got drinks and even got to play in a little leftover snow!  Highly recommend!!

Absolutely incredible tour of some of the Lord of the Rings filming locations. Joel was absolutely brilliant. Great knowledge, energy and enthusiasm. Must do tour if you’re in the area, whether you like the films or not.

You are probably looking at lots of LOTR tours like i did - pick this one!! Glenorchy and all the locations you see are gorgeous. Our lovely guide knows SO much and you get to go to a special place NO ONE else has access too. I will be doing again the next time I am down. Recommended 1000%!

What a cool tour! Francesco was a great guide with loads of nerd LOTR knowledge. He put on the soundtrack in the van which was cool to create and atmosphere. All stops were interesting and very scenic. Second breakfast in Glenorchy was yummy and with a beautiful lake view. Highlight were the costumes and real replica swords! Grat experience

Had an awesome time, Vicky was a great and very knowledgeable guide, she made the tour lots of fun even for those who hadn't seen the movies. Stops included exclusive locations and group sizes were nice and small. Photos don't quite capture how stunning it is, definitely worth a visit with Pure Glenorchy!
