As someone living with EDS Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, I was a little hesitant about going for a massage - my previous massage done elsewhere had caused a pain flare-up in my lower back resulting in a painful spasm that had me in A&E, in bed for two days, and in severe pain for 12 days. I'd been gifted a voucher for my birthday to Pure Essence, somewhere I'd never been before, for a hot stone massage, facial, and pedicure.nThe massage was pure bliss! The warmth from the stones was comforting and relaxing, while the beautiful massage from Alex almost had me falling asleep, and the facial was the best facial I've ever had, and I've had many!nHanna's pedicure and foot massage left me feeling like I was floating when I finally walked out of the salon.nThe results really revealed themselves the next morning when I climbed out of bed. I expected the usual daily ache in my hips and lower back, and was surprised to find I was completely pain free. I haven't been pain free in months! Alex definitely worked some kind of magic with those hot stones and her skilled massage technique. I highly recommend this.

I've been seeing Alex for two years now and she is such a professional and customizes facials to suit your needs. My skin has never felt this good. Love Sothys products for using at home. Can recommend the massage and pedicure as well.

I would highly recommend Pure Essence to anyone looking for a relaxing beauty treatment with a highly skilled yet down to earth & friendly beautician. I currently get the Eyeworks treatment done by Alex and my lashes look great. The difference is amazing! I am going to try more of their services.. They do Shellac nails as well so it's a real bonus to have everything available in one spot close to home! :- They have a great range of products too. Very impressed :-
